Juan
Carlos Laguna, guitar.
Preludios Americanos
Juan Carlos Laguna has been recognized as
one of the most brilliant guitarists of his generation, he has also
recorded for important European and Japanese labels. Now he presents
to us the result of a long association in the concert halls with these
scores that travel all of Latin America.
The poetic and expressive handling of Villa Lobos in one of his masterpieces,
Ponce's charming miniatures, the immediate spell of the American Preludes
by the Uruguayan guitarist and composer Abel Carlevaro, the new sounds
of the Cuban Brouwer based on Miguel Hernández poems and the
contagious Caribbean turns of the Puertorican Ernesto Cordero. Three
generations of composers, a multitude of styles, a guitar, that of Juan
Carlos Laguna.
